This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The FTC has guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials, such as reviews and affiliate links. Since I have never written a disclaimer before, I have gotten help from DiscolsurePolicy.org which gives suggestions on the type of information that should be included in a blog’s disclaimer.
Some posts have affiliate links, which can produce income. This will not affect the content of the blog. A few of these affiliate programs allow me to provide you with the most up to date offers because some of the companies I work with email me directly when they post a new promotional code or deal. I will not always write in each post that there is an affiliate link unless a post is specifically sponsored. Additionally, there is a third party widget from VigLink installed which automatically affiliates many store and company links.
If offered, I will and do accept and keep free products, services, travel, event tickets, and other forms of compensation from companies and organizations. These compensations will not affect the content of posts and I will always give you an honest opinion. If I am given something in exchange for the post, I will inform you of that directly in the affected post.
When a company provides me with an item to giveaway to a reader, I will select the winner using a random integer generator to choose a number. The corresponding comment will be selected as the winner.

Most images on Making Cents of It come from Google's image search or a screenshot from the deal's website. If you are the owner of an image and would like it removed, please email me and I will remove the image immediately. I have created a few of the images for blog specific posts or edited together multiple images when a deal involves multiple products.
